“See it, believe it, achieve it”. This belief is what has motivated Athena Masotti, entrepreneur, designer, world traveller, and soon to be published author to help children and young adults become more confident and socially competent.

Athena, Director of In Good Company Etiquette Academy Toronto, believes that manners, communication skills, and social intelligence training can help youth find their authentic selves. The school offer Social and Life Skills training programs for children and youth ages 5-20, as well as social clubs, parties and events. Their aim is “Manners are so much more than knowing what fork to use!” They know that teaching young people what the expected and respected behaviours are in social settings and giving them the knowledge and skills, they need to be socially competent, boosts their confidence, builds self-esteem, and helps them present themselves more positively. Their programs cover important and practical life and social skills topics that girls of all ages need to be their very best selves.

Ms Masotti is an Honors graduate in Communication and Sociology from McMaster University, a seasoned designer and entrepreneur who started Diffuse Casually (www.diffusecasually.com) when she was just 24 years old, is also a Candidate for Master Certified Civility Trainer. Over the past 10 years, she has garnered significant expertise in the service and hospitality industry in varying roles including as a private flight attendant. She has worked with many celebrities and visited 16 countries. Watch for Athena’s new book, Room to Grow- social competencies for ages 5-8 due for publishing Dec. 2019.

The training she offers helps build character, confidence and courtesy. She doesn’t just teach the correct behaviour, she explains “why” good behaviour is necessary—and the consequences of bad manners. Etiquette classes offer to learn strategies for coping with change and ensure her client’s child’s social success.
