Julia Ritorto, one of the founders of Australia popular brand Acler, she started as the Head Designer for Finders Keepers from its beginnings in late 2010 and have brought it to where it is today, being stocked in more than 1000 boutiques, online stores and department stores in more than 20 countries. 

She was also a buyer, travelling to London, Hong Kong, L.A, Singapore and China twice a year. Her role was to buy samples to provide inspiration for the coming season, to source fabrics/trims and also oversee all offshore production in our factories in China. Working as the sole designer of Pilgrim meant she needed to be organised, versatile and creative. Being a vertical label, ranges were not released quarterly rather she designed 8-15 new styles a week. This meant that she had to work closely with the pattern makers and sample machinists, giving them as much direction as she could when handing over a new style. She also directed and conducted daily fittings, interacted with production and ensured its smooth running.

Adelaide label Acler launched in 2015 to fill a gap for high-end pieces at an affordable price. The local label is predominantly recognised for its event wear – sculptural, contemporary dresses and separates with dramatic detailing, whether that be a cascade of ruffles or delicate applique.
